Polkamarkets Monthly Recap — October 2021
Polkamarkets Labs released its prediction market protocol in a live environment at the end of September 2021. The last month of October was focused on gathering feedback from the community and launching protocol rewards to ensure its usage and adoption. User numbers, trading volume, and TVL have all increased steadily over the first month of being live.
This is the summary of what we accomplished in the month of October 2021:
POLK Tradable on SushiSwap via Moonriver
Polkamarkets deployed live on Moonriver on the last day of September, fulfilling a major roadmap achievement as promised. Now the community can use the protocol on Moonriver, and be a part of the future of forecasting in a 100% decentralized protocol. (read more)
POLK Token Utility
$POLK token is used as a curation mechanism and a settlement & dispute system in the protocol — where users are able to perform prediction market creation and oracle disputes. (read more)
Polkamarkets Audit Report (Hacken)
Polkamarkets Protocol has been audited by Hacken and passed. The Hacken team performed an analysis of code functionality, manual audit, and automated checks with Mythril and Slither. (read more)

An updated Roadmap was shared, where our community can be informed about what we’re doing and follow our latest major development milestones on the Polkamarkets Protocol. (read more)
Weekly Prizes as Protocol Rewards
Every week we’ll be rewarding a total of $3,000 USDC to the Top 3 addresses that make the most volume on the protocol, the ones that buy and sell the most shares, and add the most liquidity. (read more)
Polkamarkets Feed on Twitter
We have launched the Polkamarkets Feed on Twitter, an automated bot feed that will aggregate all protocol-related information. We’re also working on a similar automated bot feed for Telegram and Discord. (read more)
Polkamarkets Sneak Peek Article
Take a sneak peek with this exclusive look at Polkamarkets, An Autonomous Prediction Markets Protocol. The plan is to deploy the protocol on other chains in the near future, namely Polkadot via Moonbeam EVM (which is already being prepared for v2). (read more)
What’s on the Roadmap?
You can read more in our Public Roadmap. We update it on a bi-weekly basis (once per two weeks). All development only mentions the Protocol Side of Development. As you can see, some of the developments that we have on the roadmap are being finalized:
- A new landing page is soon to be launched with all the protocol metrics, TVL, and much more.
- An extended support/FAQ page with all of the community’s questions regarding the prediction markets protocol.
- More protocol rewards initiatives are being worked on and will launch once stable to ensure that protocol users receive $POLK by using the Protocol.
- Smart contract audits are being handled and are still in progress.
- Polkamarkets automated bot feed on Discord is in development.
